35KV Zinc Oxide Lightning Arrester fully insulated High Voltage Lightning Arrester Cable type Insulators
Overview
The Zinc Oxide Arrester series is designed to protect power systems and electrical equipment from atmospheric overvoltage and switching overvoltage. This series of arresters uses zinc oxide as the primary material, which offers excellent nonlinear voltage-current characteristics and high energy absorption capabilities. When an overvoltage occurs in the system, the zinc oxide arrester responds quickly by conducting high current, limiting the overvoltage to a safe level and protecting the equipment from damage.
Key features of zinc oxide arresters include pollution resistance, aging resistance, compact structure, lightweight, and ease of installation. The polymer or ceramic housing provides excellent mechanical strength, moisture resistance, and explosion-proof performance, making it suitable for various complex outdoor and indoor environments. This series is widely used for protection in substations, transmission lines, and distribution systems.
Technical Parameters:
• Rated Voltage: Available in different voltage levels such as 6kV, 10kV, 12kV, 24kV, 35kV, etc.
• Maximum Continuous Operating Voltage (MCOV): Typically 80%-90% of the rated voltage, depending on the model
• Nominal Discharge Current: 5kA, 10kA
• Residual Voltage: Generally below 2.5 times the rated voltage
• Response Time: ≤100ns
• Pollution Level: Options for Grade II, III, and IV
• Housing Material: Polymer composite or ceramic
Environmental Conditions:
• Altitude: Not exceeding 2000m
• Ambient Temperature: -40°C to +60°C
• Relative Humidity: ≤90% (at 25°C)
• Wind Speed: Not exceeding 35m/s
• Installation Site: Areas without flammable, explosive hazards, or chemical corrosion
Installation and Maintenance:
Zinc oxide arresters should be installed vertically and away from areas with strong vibrations. During installation, ensure proper grounding to maintain the arrester's performance. Regular visual inspections and electrical performance tests are recommended, especially when used in high lightning or heavily polluted areas.
